The 6th Year French classes and 5th / 6th Year German classes visited Strasbourg on a school trip. Along their adventures, they visited various towns and attractions with plenty of laughter along the way.

On Day One, the Donabate CC students landed in Frankfurt Airport and met their bus driver Jean-Pierre who accompanied them for the entire trip. Straight away the students visited Strasbourg and got a guided tour of the historical city, with some students climbing the 333 steps of the Notre-Dame Cathedral up to the viewing platform.

There were many card games played at night and buckets of craic had in the daytime. Days Two, Three and Four rushed in with highlights including shopping in The Roppenheim Style Outlet, a visit to the wonderful Europa Park and a climb up to Heidelberg Castle in adverse weather conditions.

Europa Park was the highlight of many peoples trips as it featured exciting rollercoasters, cool restaurants and a wonderful park to walk around in. Other activities the travelling crowd undertook included a visit to the stunning Baden-Baden in Germany and a day out in the city-centre of Heidelberg.

It was a smashing trip for all involved and a huge thanks is warranted to Dr. Harley, Dr. Cooke, Ms. Kearns, Ms. Kearns and our wonderful bus driver Jean-Pierre for making this all possible.

Thanks to Elijah Spratt for this wonderful report!
