Last week, DCC came out 3-0 winners in their league clash with Ballymakenny. The team played well and fought hard to keep their first clean sheet of the year. The team were led out by their captain Ryan Darcy.
In the first few minutes, Aidan Barry went in for a smashing tackle resulting in a corner for the opposition. Matthew Lunt then struck the post with an excellent shot. Anthony Kelly slipped Tristan through and his effort was parried to the feet of Aidan Barry.
In the 17th minute, DCC conceded a penalty but Harry made a great save to keep his clean sheet. In the 28th minute Aidan Barry battled his way through the defence and scraped home his second of the game to put DCC 2 goals ahead going into half time.
In the 53rd minute the ball fell to Ben in the box and his effort was tipped over by the keeper. In the 57th minute Ryan slipped the ball through to Blake to add a third and final goal to the scoreline.
